Feyre Archeron

Feyre Archeron is a mortal huntress who lives in the human lands, struggling to provide for her father and two older sisters after their family’s fall from wealth. Fiercely independent and determined, she is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure their survival.

Tamlin is the High Lord of the Spring Court, he is able to shape shift into any form he desires and is also able to shape shift others. He is a powerful but tormented High Fae. Though he initially appears aloof and beastly, he reveals a softer side, offering Feyre comfort and safety within his court.

Lucien Vanserra

Lucien Vanserra is the youngest High Fae lordling of the Autumn Court, he has 6 older brothers and is uninterested in royal titles. He fled his court and found refuge in the Spring Court as Tamlin’s emissary and confidante. He bears no love for his family. Though initially wary of Feyre, his skepticism and sarcasm gradually give way to a reluctant friendship.

Feyre’s father was once a wealthy merchant, but he lost everything after a failed venture. His leg was crippled by his creditors, while his spirit was broken by his misfortunes. He has become quite forlorn and given up on life, relying on his daughters to provide for themselves.

Nesta is the eldest Archeron sister, she is proud, cold, and deeply resentful of their family’s misfortunes. She was closest to their mother, who valued Nesta for her potential marriage matches. Unlike Feyre, Nesta refuses to hunt or adapt to their poverty, maintaining an air of defiance even in the face of hardship.

Feyre’s mother died of typhus when Feyre was 8. She was strict and domineering and favored Nesta over her other daughters. However, she recognized an inner strength in Feyre and made her promise to take care of the family after her death.

The Bogge is a type of lesser faerie that only becomes corporeal once a person lays eyes upon it, otherwise it remains a disembodied voice that leaves behind strange footprints. It strikes fear into its beholder and no one knows its true form.
